My UFC 109 predictions

MAIN CARD

•Mark Coleman vs. Randy Couture
I could sit here and say that Mark Coleman is to old to fight but look who he is fighting,Randy Couture. Randy is old him self,however I believe that he will completely dominate Coleman. Randy just cam off a pretty boring fight Brandon Vera who is half his age. But in this fight with Coleman I feel Randy will be extremely sharp especially giving his body time cutting back down to 205. Randy will win in the second round with a Ref stoppage via ground and pound.

•Nate Marquardt vs. Chael Sonnen

Nate Marquardt is in his second MMA life. Since his destruction of Wilson Gouveia, Nate’s confidence has gone through the roof.Not to take anything away from Chael Sonnen who is coming off great wins against Yushin Okami and Dan Miller, but he did not fair to good in his loss to Demian Maia who was destroyed by Marquardt in just a few seconds. Now I know that may not be a fair analogy but Marquardt is sick on the ground and Sonnen also being great at the ground and pound he will probably try to stand and that’s where Marquardt has much improved. Nate Marquardt will win by KO in the first round.

•Mike Swick vs. Paulo Thiago

Mike Swick is anxious to get back into the cage after his disappointing performance against Dan Hardy.Swick is taking this fight on short notice, replacing his teammate Josh Koscheck, who was looking to avenge his loss to Thiago but got hurt in camp.Swick will definitely be up for the challenge of beating the talented but inconsistent Paulo Thiago. Thiago is coming off what I feel was a very lack luster performance with a narrow win against what should have been a much lesser opponent Jacob Volkmann. Swick will win a Unanimous Decision.

•Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller

This one could be very interesting. Demian Maia who is one of the most decorated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts to ever step into the cage is looking to show that his quick knockout loss to Nate Marquardt was a fluke ( It really wasnt but my opinion ).Maia will face a stubborn and gritty Dan Miller who is also coming off a loss to the tough Chael Sonnen. However I think Maia will bounce back and submit Miller in the second round with an Armbar.

•Matt Serra vs. Frank Trigg

Serra vs Trigg is another match up between two guys that have been trying to keep their career alive.These guys are both coming off losses to great opponents such as Matt Hughes and Josh Koscheck.However I really think Trigg and Serra are in a division in the UFC where they absolutely cannot win the title. Even though Serra beat St. Pierre with a fluke punch e still has no chance. Trigg’s fight with Koscheck may have been stopped a little early but he still would have gotten beaten down if the ref had not stopped it. Serra Will win cause he’s two years younger lol. He will submit Trigg in the third with a rear naked choke…
