Josh Gross of Sports Illustrated just broke the news via his Twitter account, that the DREAM Light Heavyweight Tournament that was slated to begin on May 29th has been cancelled. No reason has been disclosed and there is no word if the bout scheduled between Nick Diaz and Hayato Sakurai will still take place.
DREAM previously cancelled an event they had scheduled for March in South Korea, so one has to wonder if the organization itself will last much longer.
Confirmed participants were Gegard Mousasi, Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Christian M’Pumbu.
