DJ, tell us about the tournament style competition you are currently a part of.  How may fights have you had thus far and how many fights does it take to win the tournament?  What organization and what is the structure?

DJ Linderman: The tournament took place January 20, 2012 in Orem, Utah for the WCFC (World Championship Full Contact). The tournament structure was three five minute fights, one round each. I had one fight against Ty Lee, 8-1, won, then suffered from a broken tendon in my left hand, so I had to pull myself from the tournament. It takes winning three fights in one night to win the tournament.

DJ Linderman: Well I’ve fought in three different weight classes, super heavy weight, heavy weight, and light heavy weight. I feel the best at light heavy weight, that being I’m lighter, faster, and still posses the power of heavy weight.

How did you get into fighting?  With a record of 11-2 and having never been stopped by a submission or tko/ko, how high in your confidence when you enter the cage?  Do you feel like you can stand and trade or compete with anyone in the world?

DJ Linderman: I got into fighting because I was a troubled kid and want to better myself and I felt through MMA I found an outlet to make my negatives into positives. My confidence level has defiantly accumulated over the years and when I walk into the cage, I feel unstoppable. I do feel I can compete with anyone in the world.
