Each UFC event has bonuses based on performances. The three bonuses are KO, Submission, and Fight of the Night. At UFC 143, the bonus for each one was $65,000.
Fight of the Night Bonus went to Roy Nelson and Fabricio Werdum. The Fight lasted 3 rounds with Werdum getting the better of each round with a bunch of knees. Roy Nelson landed his powerful overhand right a couple times as well and actually dropped Werdum in the 2nd. Fabricio finished strong and won the fight in unanimous decision 30 -27.
Knockout of the Night went to Stephen Thompson. Stephen Knocked out Dan Stittgen with a vicious head kick in the opening round.
Submission of the Night went to Dustin Poirier. Dustin submitted Max Holloway with an armbar/triangle choke combo.
