Hey people. Quick update. Unfortunately I won’t be fighting Pettis on dec 14. I am still not yet 100% n can’t commit to fight. UFC is going
With someone else instead. It sucks but it is the best for both myself and the UFC. Please don’t worry. Ill be back and if I gotta fight
Someone else to get back to where I wanna be then that’s what I’m gonna do. I’m not bitter. Thanks
Originally scheduled to face Former 155lbs Champion Benson Henderson, T.J. Grant was injured and forced out of the title shot. Fast forward several months later; Grant has still not recovered enough for his title shot. Although, Grant would now be facing the new 155lbs Champion Anthony Pettis. As previously stated, Grant was forced out of his title fight with Henderson and now with new Champion Pettis. Moving past all other possible contenders and into the top spot, is replacement , Josh Thomson. A former StrikeForce Champion himself and coming off of an incredible highlight stoppage of former contender Nate Diaz, Thomson will look to shock the world, in what has potential to be an all out war. Both Pettis and Thomson are known for their high pace, high flying performances. Both men should look to push the pace and put on an incredible performance. Pettis recently won the title in his hometown, but when he makes his first title defense, the roles will be reversed: Pettis will meet Thomson in California’s State Capital of Sacramento with the 155lbs title on the line, December 14th, on Fox.
