According to By  of MMAfighting.com, Both Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock have failed their pre fight drug test for their Feb 19th bouts in Texas.  Kimbo had won via tko against Dada 5000, which will likely be changed to a No Contest and Shamrock had lost via TKO to Royce Gracie, which will likely stand as is; although it was already under review for Shamrock complaining that he was hit in the groin before losing the fight.  This will most likely derail plans for a Kimbo return this summer against Justin Wren, after the fight was already deemed a debacle and circus like, with his opponent Dada 5000 leaving the cage on a stretcher and nearly dying at the hospital post fight.  Hopefully Bellator can recover from this and proceed with great shows, featuring amazing talent.  Coming up next for Bellator, they will feature King Mo vs Phil Davis and Josh Thompson vs Michael Chandler at Bellator 154 in San Jose, CA.  Although they feature incredible talent and fights as just noted, I have to admit….I LOVE FREAK SHOW FIGHTS.  Hopefully Kimbo and Ken did not ruin it for everyone!

Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock both failed drug tests at Bellator 149, MMA Fighting has learned.

Slice and Shamrock had banned substances in their system per the results of pre-fight drug tests. Bellator 149 took place Feb. 19 in Houston, Texas, multiple sources said.

Both men have been administratively suspended by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) pending an adjudication process, sources said. The official test result documents, showing the exact substances Slice and Shamrock tested positive for, have been withheld by the TDLR due to potential pending litigation. Athletes on the card had urine samples taken before their bouts.

Typically, the maximum discipline for combatants who fail drug tests in Texas is a 90-day suspension and $5,000 fine.
